All of God's creatures have rights, a fact that most people don't seem to recognize. This includes both human and non-human animals, but not all of them can speak for themselves.

We cannot come to God with bloody hands,

Nor can we come to God with bloody lips,

As we continue to eat hunks of bloody flesh

Pretending with plastic wrappings to drown out

The Piteous cries of the beast:

This is my body

This is my blood
