Huffy Human
By Heidi Coon

…”Shhhhh, please don’t deliver
Hush! Vegan bell ringer!
I hate to consider,
My steak had a killer!
Please stop Vegan, don’t hinder
Don’t point your Vegan finger!
Don’t pull the Vegan trigger!”….

Hey, human
Your choice involves a victim
You’ve done your due diligence?
Perhaps weighed your options?
Convoluted flesh eater
Eating steak for dinner
Ya can’t claim to be rational
When you’re eating dead animals
C’mon, atrocity is now ‘personal’?
You oil the death machine,
But my speaking the truth is ‘mean’?
You’re so silly…
I mean, really…
Big, bad, truth telling
Vegan
[so fearsome]
Truth- You don’t wanna hear it!
Truth? You won’t get near it!
Truth, you say I sneer it!
Admit it.
Nail on the head? Hit it!
Conscience? You can’t clear it!
Change? You fear it!
Your ‘food’? They kill it!
Poor human,
Oh so frail
Bad hair day? Break a fingernail?
Weak character tale
You eat body parts, deader than a door nail
Abused flesh for sale
You….with your soft ego,
Inert In archaic credo
You wince at the words I write
But in your heart, you know I’m right.
