The Invitation

You are an honored guest here
At this feast called life
Every breath you breathe is proof
You belong here
at this time

Come take this place set for you
And choose each dish
With clear intention
For each will lead you
in a different direction
And perhaps enough dishes
have been servings of suffering

It is all self-serve from here
So, choose from the vegan-light menu
For it is time to walk
With light-hearted ease
Down your path

Enjoy the journey
For you are but a guest here
For a VERY short while
And you were never meant
to leave this world
Carrying a sack of regrets

Spend time each day
With the silence of your inner flame
For the Wise Ones dwell there
Seek their counsel often
For you are wiser than you know

From that silent wisdom
You will always find that fork in the road
Leading you back home
To your honored place at our vegan table
