Give us water
To quench us
And lakes and streams
To soothe our weary minds
Give us streams
We can still drink from
And plankton and whales
Rebalancing the vast blue
And rain
To grow our food together
And the aquifers to bathe our roots
Give us a vision
To hold onto
And sweet morning
to awaken with fresh vision
Soaked in morning dew
Give us flow
For water is sentient life
We are the waters that meet the shore
And all cleansing tears
Running down our cheeks
Joining together into a sea left alone
