It's claimed eating meat

Is a 'personal choice'

But what about those that we eat?

I'm sure that they too

Have a 'personal choice'

Not to cruelly be turned into meat.

Why is it we think

That the choice is all ours,

When others have so much to lose,

For something as fleeting

And fickle as taste,

Why should it be humans who choose?
