To Tithe or Not to Tithe

I have to tell you a funny story. I receive a few dollars a month from Social Security because of my medical condition. My tithe automatically goes to my church. If I make a few more dollars doing bookkeeping for people, the tithe is forwarded also. Because a check is written to the church, the amounts do not come out of my checking account for several days.

Last week I received an unusual amount, so I rounded my tithe up a few dollars and submitted on my on-line banking.

I had an emergency with my car and I didn't know where the money was coming from. I looked at my checking account on-line and the tithes had not been processed yet. My first thought was, I can cancel the two checks for MY EMERGENCY, Second thought was No, I committed myself and I could not retract the checks......

My car.......Oh well! It will have to wait another day or so.

I'm sure you will know what happened next (within a few hours)......A client called me and said, can I meet you to give you a check for your services. I told him My car was inoperable, so he offered to deposit the money in my bank himself, which he did, and low and behold, the exact amount I needed.

Doesn't that sound like one of those stories you read in those small devotional books. I really laughed and thanked the Lord!!!
