Letter from Shirley Hunsberger

Will we forever wade around in bureaucracy or will we be heard in the way that say Martin Luther King was heard even though he was unpopular. He marched and held meetings and started to become a nuisance for the government. That is the only way to get them to do anything is to become a bit of a problem . I am willing to do whatever it takes to start something. Unfortunately I wish it were as simple as sitting in the front of the bus. what could just one person do ? Any ideas ?

Dear Shirley:

Thank you very much for writing.

We agree that we face an extremely bad bureaucratic problem, but we also face an equally bad church problem, which is the problem that King 'solved' in presenting the segregation issue. We need to get the religious organizations behind our movement, and when that happens, the bureaucrats will listen.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
