Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) - This bald eagle photo was submitted by Kevin McCullagh. The bald eagle was sitting in a dead tree in his back yard on the edge of Sleepy Hollow Lake. The Bald Eagle, sometimes referred to as the American Bald Eagle, is the only eagle unique to North America. It is also the United States' national bird and symbol.
