Subject: Lake of Fire

I've been reading your book and I don't understand why you would think the Lake of Fire is symbolic and not to be taken as real. But I was reading in the Bible and came upon this verse:

Luke 16:24 - And he cried & said, Father Abraham have mercy on me, & send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, & cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

That sounds like a fire. Please explain.

Dear friend Williard.

Thank you for asking this question. To answer this and many other questions for myself, I found - there were over two hundred different transliterations/translations of our GOD'S Holy Scriptures, and not one of them is the same, and not one of them is completely correct. SO!  How to find out the truth? Without having to believe the earthly thoughts and ideas of humans - I would have to go back to the original languages the Bible was written in.

It took me well over twenty years.

I sent books (which I used to print myself) out to whosoever and Frank Hoffman got one, it was still not yet completed. He asked me if He could publish it on his new website - that was over ten years ago. It took us over five years to get to what you can read now, as back then I had to send the Hebrew and Greek as graphics. My book has now been published by Biblio Books in Israel and if; after reading it on the web you would like a free copy - just send me your address.

Now! To answer your question.

The word "flame" in Luke 16:24 is Φλόξ phlox, which does not only mean "flame" as in "fire", but is transliterated "flame" in the following verses - taken from your rendering of the - King James Version.

Acts 7:30 ... an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire....

Hebrews 1:7  ...Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

Revelation 1:14 ... his eyes were as a flame of fire.

Revelation 2:18 ... who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;

Revelation 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire....

Hope this helps in your search for truth - read chapter 4 again.

In Jesus'   Іησον̑s  U  χριστόѕ  Christ's name:

In the first name of  GOD  אֱלהִים ELOHIM  Creator, (plural) Genesis 1:1.

     The SINGLE English word "GOD" is transliterated from many original Hebrew and Greek words, so it does not show the intricacies of the original meanings - which is one of the major reasons for so many misunderstandings of the Holy Scriptures. Why so many people believe that the Bible contradicts itself, or supposedly says things (about eating meat/fish etc.) that it does not say, because this also applies to many other words - so we have over 200 different translations of the Holy Bible - and not one of them is absolutely correct.     Bernard (Bernie) J.
