NBC-Tiger was 'grounded'

On the 6:00 channel 4 NBC news, 8/2, anchor/reporter Chuck Scarborough reported that the Bengal tiger who escaped from the Cole Bros circus is 'grounded' today, while the circus went on without him. The video showed this poor animal looking out from behind the bars of what appeared to be a tiny cage; I could barely look.

By using the term 'grounded' plus the accompanying video, Chuck Scarborough conveys the message that this animal did something wrong; as we all know, this damn CIRCUS did something wrong - the animals are innocent.

Language is powerful; it can shape hearts and minds. Please tell Chuck Scarborough to speak of these animal victims with respect, understanding and compassion. NBC anchors have answered our emails in the past.
