Pig Races at the Dutchess County Fair

Strong letters are needed to the Dutchess County fair (Is anyone in the Dutchess County area who could meet with fair officials about the inclusion of pig races at their fair?  It's being held Aug. 24, 2004 - 29 on route 9 in Rhinebeck.

Though the fair also has 'livestock' shows, horse shows, petting zoos and the usual crap...pig races?  This is where terrified little animals are shipped in crowded conditions, released, chased and by savages on their way to the slaughterhouse - what a good time!

Though it's all disgusting, pig races are easily rank as the cruelest event at this 'fair'.  Their ad says "There's been nothing like it since the 19th century." Actually, there's plenty of left-over cruelty. Please contact the 'fair' organizers and and tell them to come into this century (and learn some compassion on the way):
