Comedy Shows Dog Flushed Down Toilet

Unfortunately the movies are again mining laughs from animal cruelty.  The tv stations SPECIFICALLY EXTRACT those portions of the films as commercial 'draws.'  Right now the TV stations are airing a cat sprayed with water and subsequently frozen in the snow (CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS), a small lizard is slapped off a man's hand and goes flying (THE LIFE AQUATIC) and a small dog accidentally jumps into an open toilet bowl, struggles to get out - and is flushed down the toilet (MEET THE FOCKERS)...all for a laugh.

These commercials are on at all times and can easily be seen by children (they shouldn't be seen by adults either).

Please contact the following tv stations in and urge them to remember that if you teach children that cruelty is funny, you'll have cruel children.

- CBS CHANNEL 2: CONTACT THEM VIA THEIR WEBSITE - WWW.CBS.COM , CLICK 'FEEDBACK' AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE)

- NBC CHANNEL 4, JEFF ZUCKER, PRES.: [email protected]

- ABC CHANNEL 7: [email protected]

- FOX CHANNEL 5, MARIE CLAIRE, PRODUCER: [email protected]

If you want to contact Robert Deniro and Barbra Streisand, stars of MEET THE FOCKERS:

Deniro can be reached via his production company Tribeca Films:

Babs Streisand (who just got an award from HSUS for dedicating a song to her dog. "We were so gratified that Ms. Streisand agreed to help us reach out to pet owners." Too bad it didn't make her take off her fur coats and not appear in a film showing a dog flushed down the toilet for a laugh) can be contacted via her website, www.barbrastreisand.com .
