This is the 'Right to Know' bill for open govt, requiring Wildlife Services to give prior notice before geese and turkey 'culls,' hold public meetings beforehand, inform applicants of humane alternatives, and bans donations of the birds to food banks. The need for this bill was described in detail in this article published in November: Our Government is Destroying Geese families In the Cruelest Way.

Wildlife Services must be stopped, there is currently zero restriction on its activities, by paid hunters protecting their jobs.  Incredibly they are now publicly 'blaming' Westchester to justify their latest anti-wildlife effort:

The bill will be presented at the January Legislative session; Wildlife Services has lots of friends in the legislature, and the last thing they want is 'transparency' - if possible set up in-person meetings at your reps local offices, which advocates should be doing anyway if at all possible - many of the issues we've successfully tackled have emerged from in-person meetings: You don't have to go to Albany to lobby!  We are already Lobbyists: "Definition: To seek to influence (a politician or public official) on an issue."
