From: Animal Defenders of Westchester (ADOW)
June 10, 2022

AS YOU KNOW THE NYS LEGISLATURE PASSED THE PUPPY MILL BILL; IT IS ON GOVERNOR HOCHUL'S DESK TO BE SIGNED.  THE GOV. WILL BE SIGNING BILLS ALL SUMMER! WE'RE ALMOST AT THE FINISH LINE -  PLEASE CONTINUE CALLING!

MSGS CAN BE LEFT 24/7

(518) 474-8390

THE GOVERNOR CAN ALSO BE CONTACTED VIA HER WEB PAGE:
https://www.governor.ny.gov/content/governor-contact-form

PLEASE NOTE!!

ON THE LOHUD FACEBK PG, SOMEONE LEFT THIS COMMENT - WHICH GOT 60 'LIKES':

"People want puppies, puppies are not in the shelter very often. They'll continue to breed, and they'll sell on the Side Market. You've done nothing but remove regulations for selling in the retail store."

YOU CAN BE CERTAIN THESE SAME 60+ PEOPLE ARE ALSO CALLING GOV. HOCHUL!  THERE ARE FEW 'REGULATIONS'

THIS IS ABOUT THE ANIMALS; ITS NOT ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE 'WANT.'

This law is a great way to stop the horrible pipeline of mill-raised dogs, cats and rabbits.  Puppy mills are legal; there are currently few 'regulations' in pet shops.  The Westchester pet store was busted by the AG due to selling sick animals and telling buyers the animals were 'home-bred' when they were not.

ADOW THANKS YOU FOR SPEAKING UP FOR THEM
