Letters THE BRUNT OF THE HUNT
18 January 2004
The Post's Ken Moran is a good one for statistics. In
his column, he gives us the number of bear-hunting permit-holders, the
number of bears harvested, the recent revenues of animal rescue
organizations and other numbers.
But he left out some statistics that are important to
me as a human being. One is, how many bears were wounded in the hunt but
escaped into the frozen woods to die torturous deaths.
Good men don't kill for pleasure.
