To the Editor:
Does the Guggenheim have a display of live humans fornicating? How about
people forcibly restrained while goaded to fight? No, the museum will not
degrade and harm humans; it is too “civilized.” But animals? That’s another
story: Harm them, disrespect them, hold them up for scorn and humiliation.
It’s all great art for the nouveau art connoisseurs to intellectualize while
drinking champagne.
We are too P.C. to criticize artists: The vaunted “artiste” has a message.
That’s more important than mere common decency.
