Companion Animal Memorials By Deborah Tanzer [email protected] Rose Honeysuckle Tanzer was euthanized on Tuesday April 26, five days short of her tenth birthday. The ravages of her disease finally overcame her, and she took a very sharp turn for the worse on Monday night. She weighed 6.5 pounds by the end, despite forced feedings, hydration, and numerous traditional and homeopathic medications. Until that night, she had been relatively comfortable and happy in the loving arms and paws of her immediate and extended family, but then the time came for her to go. (To enlarge the photo of Rose Honeysuckle Tanzer, click on the photo or link) Like her sister Eve, Rose was one of the most sweet, friendly, and wonderful cats ever to grace this earth. She brought great pleasure to many many individuals, across species. Even during the trials of her illness, she remained a trooper and maintained her loving disposition, a model for us all. Her feline sister Eve, her canine brother Sparky, and lots of humans are so saddened by her loss. I am heartbroken, but will live with cherished memories of her forever in my heart. I want to thank all of you so much for the concern, caring, support, advice, and help you have given to me and her during these difficult months. Debby |
