NEW VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT GUIDE GOES ONLINE
VegDining.com Announces Contest To Celebrate World
Vegetarian Month (October)
WINNIPEG, Canada, September 1 -- VegDining.com, a new
web guide to fully-vegetarian restaurants around the world, officially
goes online today. As part of its mission to promote vegetarian
restaurants and vegetarian organizations around the world, VegDining.com
is featuring a contest celebrating World Vegetarian Month (October).
Visitors to the VegDining.com site are eligible to win
monthly and weekly prizes by briefly describing vegetarian restaurants
they've recently visited. The first monthly prizes will be awarded at
the end of October - World Vegetarian Month - and will include a
registration package to the World Vegetarian Congress in Toronto, July
10-16, 2000.
Weekly prizes will be awarded beginning on World
Vegetarian Day (October 1) and will include memberships to the
International Vegetarian Union (IVU) and the Physicians Committee for
Responsible Medicine (PCRM), as well as dinners at vegetarian
restaurants.
"Promoting vegetarian restaurants and vegetarian
organizations are at the cornerstone of furthering the vegetarian
movement" says Dennis Bayomi, VegDining.com founder and a Canadian
vegetarian activist. To this end, VegDining.com is also offering local,
national and international vegetarian organizations free banner ads.
