It's that time of year for all the little ghosts and
goblins to ring doorbells looking for treats or ready to do tricks. This
year, let's help the animals too, by only giving out vegan treats. The
following are some cruelty-free treat suggestions made by Animal Writes
Online subscribers.
* Stickers - PeTA has some that are animal-rights
friendly!
* Coins
* Small boxes of raisins or bags of dried cranberries
* Party-favor toys
* Snack-size bags of pretzels, chips, popcorn (not cheese, please!)
* Pencils, erasers - Halloween or other fun styles
* Halloween magnets
* Animal rights coloring leaflet
And while you are at it, how about giving out animal
rights literature to parents who accompany their kids door to door. Make
copies of the newsletter to give out, or pick a couple of topics that
are meaningful to you and distribute them.
