A vigil is being organized for turkeys to be held the
Friday before Thanksgiving, November 19th from 7:30 to 8:30 in front of
Giant Foods Grocery in Bethesda Maryland, (intersection of Arlington Rd
and Bethesda Avenue, near the District of Columbia). Last year's vigil
got good media attention, and the organizer is calling for a good number
of supporters this year to help make this another success. If anyone
lives too far to come, they are urged to organize a vigil as well. The
purpose is to mourn those no-named turkeys who died, and bring to the
public attention the almost unimaginable cruelty of the poultry
industry.
