PET TRADE SPECIALIST � People for the Ethical Treatment
of Animals (PeTA) seeks a pet trade specialist with previous
casework-related mediation or intervention experience to coordinate all
departmental efforts to campaign against the pet trade industry. This
person will be responsible for keeping abreast of pertinent news and
developments in the pet trade industry, handle captive bird issues, and
provide intervention and assistance in a wide variety of animal abuse
situations. This person will also represent PeTA to the media.
Candidate's must have proven proofreading,
organizational, and research skills as well as strong written and verbal
communication skills. Candidate must also have the ability to make
independent decisions in crisis situations needing authority
intervention. A degree in a related field is preferred. Animal Friendly.
