Program Manual
From: Linda J. Howard - [email protected]

Though developed for human services agencies, a good resource for AR groups is the United Way's manual, "Measuring Program Outcomes, A Practical Approach." I recently attended a strategy meeting sponsored by an animal protection organization which uses the methodology and logic-models described in the manual and it proved to be an effective way to organize a lot of campaign ideas/goals quickly, and it provided an outline of measurable outcomes and timelines for the campaign. Also, since everyone received the same logic-model and the agreed-upon campaign course (complete with notations about who would complete what task), the chances of tasks
falling-through-the-cracks was minimized.

The manual is $5.00 per copy and can be ordered from
