Bernadette Juarez from the office of general counsel of
the USDA has confirmed that the USDA-APHIS has approved placement of 3
Hawthorn elephants at the Endangered Ark Foundation. This Foundation is
run by the owners of the Carson and Barnes Circus, in Hugo, Oklahoma. The
function of the foundation is to breed elephants for use in circuses.
Another source informs us that the three elephants to be placed are Asian
