PCRM Physicians Committee
November 2017
Since January, PCRM had been urging Einstein Medical Center to switch to human-relevant simulators, rather than live pigs.
I’m happy to share that Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia
has stopped using live pigs to train emergency medicine residents!
Since January, PCRM had been urging Einstein Medical Center to switch to
human-relevant simulators, rather than live pigs. The cruelty taking place
was intense. But thanks to YOU, innocent pigs have been saved and resident
training has improved!
This is a great victory for animals … future patients who will be treated by
physicians with superior training … and everyone who cares about creatures
big and small.
