See original alert - Urge Long Island to Halt Deer Massacre
Long Island deer are safe tonight from USDA so-called "sharpshooters" (they often just injure deer) because of hundreds of dedicated activists protesting, writing letters, securing a temporary restraining order, and threatening lawsuits to halt what could have easily amounted to largest governmental-ordered deer mass slaughter ever in New York!
East Hampton Village and other surrounding municipalities have cancelled their plan to participate in a mass deer killing program aggressively promoted by the Long Island Farm Bureau and the United States Department of Agriculture.
We will stay vigilant on any developments regarding deer in the Hamptons.
For now, we give a HUGE THANK YOU for helping keep Long Island’s deer
safe!
