The horses paw and prance and neigh,
Fillies and colts like kittens play,
And dance and toss their rippled manes
Shining and soft as silken skeins.
- Oliver Wendell Holmes

Most people know that cows are kept pregnant and confined to barns so that they can have their milk taken for human consumption. Can anything make less sense?

Oh, yes.

Horses are also kept pregnant and confined in barns away from animal rights activists with cameras. These imprisoned creatures kept in secret places wear enormous diapers which collect their urine. Their piss is then collected and baked into pill form and fed to pre-menopausal women to ease the symptoms of menopause, and to post-menopausal women to prevent bone loss. The pills work because they contain horse estrogen which seems to work quite well in humans. Women also consume cow estrogen with each slice of cheese and spoonful of yogurt. Got breast and uterine cancer?

Row after row of these pregnant horses are forced to stand in these torturously narrow stalls with catheter tubes forced into their bodies.  They are deprived of their God given rights by evil, heartless humans whose only concern is with the amount of money they can make.

The pills made from horse pee are called Premarin. The word 'Premarin' is formed from three other words; Pregnant Mare Urine. PREgnant MARe urINe.

Premarin is owned by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, a division of Pfizer Drugs. In 2011, greater than $3 billion worth of Premarin will be sold to American women.

People believe that baby male cows are killed for veal. Most never make it to slaughter. The transportation costs are greater than the net proceeds received by dairymen. Male calves are killed and composted on most dairy farms after being separated from their angry and pained mothers, and this truth is no bull.

What happens to the male foals born to horses who spend their lives pregnant and confined so that women might eat their dried urine?

Nobody is talking...
