PETA People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
July 2018
More than 150 brands have committed to not selling mohair – many after being contacted by PETA supporters! News outlets are already predicting the collapse of the entire mohair industry.
Last month, I told you about a first-of-its-kind PETA exposé
revealing rampant abuse and neglect on angora goat farms.
Today, just weeks later, more than 150 brands have committed to not selling
mohair – many after being contacted by PETA supporters! News outlets are
already predicting the collapse of the entire mohair industry.
It's remarkable progress, reminiscent of the way PETA and our affiliates
brought angora sales to a standstill not long ago.
It's no accident that we are achieving these and other precedent-setting
victories against the grisly skins trade. Since our beginning, PETA and our
affiliates have used creative, provocative campaigns to wake people up to
the cruelty of wearing animal skins.
