If the Leaping Bunny Logo is one you look for when shopping for personal care products, you now have another company to add to your suppliers list. SKIN All Natural is the latest skin care company to carry the symbol, which gives you, the consumer, a guarantee that what you are buying is free of animal testing.
As there is no ban on animal testing in the U.S., it can be a minefield trying to find a truly cruelty free product. Even those companies that claim the final product has not been tested on animals can have raw ingredients that have been, so the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC) devised the Leaping Bunny Program as a way to ensure that the products are cruelty free in all stages of development. Companies wishing to join the program take a voluntary pledge to maintain standards that do not include testing on animals, and their ingredient suppliers make the same pledge. The Leaping Bunny is now an internationally recognized symbol for cruelty free cosmetics, personal care, and household products.
SKIN All Natural has long had a vegan, non-testing company ethic, and
wanted to add its support for CCIC’s program and a hope that soon widespread
alternative test methods can be used in place of the unnecessary and cruel
methods used in the majority of manufacturers.
“By joining the Leaping Bunny Program, SKIN All Natural has taken a clear
stand against animal testing,” said its vegan founder and CEO.
“Respect for people, animals and environment is the basis of our ethical commitment.”
As well as being 100% vegan and cruelty free, SKIN All Natural prides itself on using completely natural ingredients free of synthetic perfumes and dyes, and petrochemicals.
