Coastal Waters

 

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their hosts.  He gathered the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays the deeps in storehouses.  Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.  For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. (Psalm 33:6-9 NASV)

When the ocean waters are tossed by a storm or whipped up by the winds, there is a calm assurance that the Lord God who made it all is still in control.  As we sit on the shore and watch the ocean waves break against the rocks, and we hear the roar and pounding of the surf, it gives us peace.  Mary has captured God's powerful beauty in this 24" X 30" acrylic on canvas painting.
