1. It’s Never Too Late

According to a recent study published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, research suggests that it's never too late to adopt healthy eating habits and still get benefits. Eating more fruits and veggies, and exercising more while avoiding meat and dairy increases longevity potential, and decreases the rate of chronic diseases and cognitive impairment. Plant-based diets are God's ideal for us as the book of Genesis tells us. Decreasing the rate of diseases, reversing diseases, and increasing vitality and life span are powerful reasons for making mindful decisions every time we sit down for a meal. Being good stewards of our bodies is a sacred responsibility and also a privilege that ought to be taken seriously and from the heart.

2. Famous Quote

"The only foods that contain immune-strengthening and cancer-fighting nutrients are plant foods."

~Mike Anderson, author of The RAVE Diet and Lifestyle

3. Veg Diets Boost Heart Health

Well-balanced vegetarian diets can boost heart health. Now mainstream, plant-based diets are easy to adopt given the amount of information available and the great variety of food products that make the transition easier. Besides eating healthy, there are many other ways to boost heart health, such as meditating, flossing and exercising. In the past, when health tips were offered, plant-based diets hardly ever made the list; nowadays they most often make the top of the list. How great is it that there is more awareness about the benefits of plant-based diets for all of God’s Creation!

4. Bible Verse

(RSV) Proverbs 12:10

“A righteous man has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.”

The Hebrew Scriptures forbid inhumane slaughter or cruelty toward beasts of burden, yet, all around the world, virtually all food derived from animals is obtained by causing pain and misery to God's farmed animals. Showing compassion and mercy to farmed animals should lead us to adopt a plant-based diet.
