Invertebrates Feel Pain
Lobsters, crabs and other invertebrates are
treated as if they didn’t feel pain when raised or caught for food,
because it is thought that they don’t perceive pain. However, a study
carried out by scientists at Queen’s University Belfast indicates that
these animals do feel pain. In fact, Elwood and Crook, who carried out
the research, “have changed how they treat the invertebrates in their
labs. They now use as few animals as possible and keep the potential
for suffering to a minimum.”

Do
lobsters and other invertebrates feel pain. New research has some
answers.
Science helps us understand the world around us to a
certain extent but we have much to learn. I think if we act with
compassion, instead of waiting for science to confirm something such
as if invertebrates feel pain, we are on the right path. In essence,
we should treat others the way we want to be treated.

Famous Quote
A man can live and be healthy without killing animals
for food; therefore, if he eats meat, he participates in taking animal
life merely for the sake of his appetite. And to act so is immoral.
~ Leo Tolstoy
3. If Ag-Gag Laws Were Common
Ag-gag laws or
“anti-whistleblower” laws make it illegal for anyone (journalists,
activists and employees) to document what goes on inside factory
farms, thereby outlawing animal abuse exposés. These 2 articles refer
to 10 of these big exposes of factory farms that couldn’t have taken
place if these ag-gag laws were common.

More Investigations We Wouldn't Know About If Ag-Gag Laws Were Common.
Ag-gag laws protect the animal agriculture industry and therefore
protect those who abuse God’s animals raised for food, those who abuse
workers at factory farms and those who destroy the environment. The
mere fact that these laws exist is a clear example of how badly this
industry wants to keep consumers in the dark.
4. Bible Verse
(RSV) James 2:13
For judgment is without mercy to one who has
shown no mercy; yet mercy triumphs over judgment.
Mercy is
essential in order to be true followers of Jesus Christ. Are we being
obedient to God if we treat God's animals with no mercy? Let's all ask
ourselves this question when choosing what or who we eat.
5.
“Noah” On the Big Screen
“Noah”, the latest movie by vegan director
Darren Aronofsky is making headlines no just because of its impressive
production but by the maybe not so subtle vegan message. Aronofsky
doesn’t use any real animals in the movie showing that animals don’t
need to be used (or abused) in order to make a movie. He also raises
the issue of eating only what we need (ecological message) and the
moral choice of killing vs love.

'Noah" is totally vegan propaganda
It’s fantastic that the
Biblical story about Noah is making headlines bringing forth the
ethical issue of eating God’s animals. Hopefully the viewer will grasp
the notion that animals are here to share the Earth with us instead of
being subjugated by us, that raising them for food in unnecessary and
cruel, and most importantly that eating them has nothing to do with
love.
