Mega dairy farm pollution
Nearly 20 additional violations,
committed by Wright Township dairy operation, which houses 6,000
cows, were reported since January. The Michigan Department of
Environmental Quality filed a contempt of court action against the
dairy farm for violations of a 2004 agreement regarding prior
charges.
Angry and frustrated neighbors
complain of health problems (headaches, sinus problems), waste
polluting the soil and water, and the terrible smell they have to
endure.

There is vast evidence that dairy
farms greatly pollute our environment and contribute to a myriad of
health problems. The article, however, doesn't raise the issue of
animal suffering and the conditions the cows and their calves must
endure. A plant-based diet helps alleviate animal suffering, and
restore our health and the environment.
