Factory Farming Antibiotic Resistance Problem
Immunologists are raising awareness about the increasing problem of
antibiotic-resistant bacteria due to the overuse of antibiotics by the
factory farming industry. Because farmed animals are raised under
confinement and in great numbers, the spread of disease happens quickly
and easily, which is why they’re fed antibiotics and other medicines
when they aren’t sick. While beneficial in the short term, this
short-sighted practice leads to stronger and more drug-resistant
bacteria in the long term.

Causing misery to God's animals comes back to us in different forms,
such us the rising of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Being stewards of
God's Creation has privileges and responsibilities and we should take
this sacred responsibility with a Christ-like heart. Factory Farming is
reflecting our lack of care for God's animals, for our health and the
state of the environment.
