UK Reduces Meat Products Intake
Consumers in the UK are reducing their consumption of processed meat
and meat products after the media released results of a study linking
the meats to increased risks of colon cancer, claiming that eating 150g
of processed meat a day increased the risk of this cancer by 63 per
cent. According to a World Cancer Research Fund-commissioned YouGov
survey, over 10 per cent of people have tried to cut down on processed
meat intake.

It’s encouraging that the media is exposing the negative effects of a
meat-based diet on our health. Hopefully, more people will choose this
year to be better stewards of their bodies by adopting a balanced
plant-based diet.
