Leviticus 19:18
(RSV)You shall not take vengeance or bear any grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.
Keeping alive grudges and wanting to take revenge poison our hearts. Jesus teaches us to love and serve one another in obedience to God.
