Michigan becomes the seventh state to ban gestation crates, the
fifth to ban veal crates, and the second to ban battery cages after
Michigan Governor signed HB 5127 which phases out veal crates for
calves within three years, battery cages for laying hens and
gestation crates for breeding sows within ten years. To read the

It is good news for all Creation that Michigan is taking these
steps to alleviate to a certain extent the suffering of so many
farmed animals. However, there is still a lot of room for
improvement and consumers should take a stand and not support the
animal agriculture industry.
