Is “Humane” the Answer?
Nil Zacharias, co-founder of One Green Planet exposes the erroneous
belief that "humane" should be the goal when referring to meat, eggs and
dairy products. Zacharias rightly asserts that the term "humane"
primarily makes people feel better about the animal products they eat,
while not necessarily alleviating animal suffering or saving animal
lives. In fact, he argues that the better people feel about the products
they eat, the more products they will eat as well.

Humane Meat Is The Solution To What,
Again?
Ethically and spiritually speaking, the term “humane” is not
applicable when God’s animals are exploited and killed unnecessarily for
the sake of taste and profit. Although better conditions for farmed
animals undoubtedly alleviate some of their suffering, nonetheless they
are all slaughtered at the end, almost always involving fear and pain.
Christians should stand for a peaceful and loving world, where all
creatures coexist harmoniously in accordance to God’s ideal plan.
