Dr. Aysha Akhtar, author of Animals and Public Health: Why treating
animals better is critical to human welfare and publish last month,
discusses the public health dangers of raising animals for food in
factory farms. Dr. Akhtar states that these farms are the ideal
vessels for viruses and bacteria to rotate, combine and mutate. Thus,
birdflu and other diseases will continue to be a threat for as long as
we raise animals in this way. The link between animals and public
health cannot longer be denied.

Will Remain A Threat As Long As Factory Farms Exist:

Short-sighted practices such as the one of raising God's farmed
animals in factory farms are causing much disease and devastation.
What goes around, comes around. We cannot expect to promote health by
causing misery to these animals.
