Christian Vegetarian Association Presents:
Take Heart!
What Would Jesus (Not) Eat?

Ken Chitwood, an intern with LINC Houston (a non-profit organization seeking the development of whole communities in the Houston metro area) and a graduate student at Concordia University Irvine, CA studying theology and culture, writes an excellent piece on why Christians should pay close attention to their choice of diet. He believes that vegetarianism has solid bases in the Bible, and that Christian vegetarians are actually practicing Jesus' teachings of non-violence.

If we looked closely at the heart of Jesus ministry, I think we would see that it is one of peace-making, healing and reconciliation. Adopting a plant-base diet helps us exactly to do that: to make peace with God’s creatures by not harming and killing them unnecessarily, to help restore our health and the health of the planet, and to bring creatures together in harmony.
