“Humane” Meat Does Not Exist
(video)

Ingrid Newkirk, President and co-founder of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), clearly explains why the term “humane meat” is untrue and deceiving. The term “humane” refers to less abused animals, who might have had a little bit more space to live, maybe some contact with nature such as feeling the grass or soil, or that might have had a natural diet.

However, all farmed animals killed for food are slaughtered at a very young age. They don’t get to exercise their natural instincts or even raise their young. Newkirk makes a call for compassion and ethical treatment of sentient beings, which should lead people to stop supporting the meat industry.
