Read this excellent interview on Runner’s World with Gene Bauer,
cofounder and President of Farm Sanctuary, who has become a runner
with a purpose. He’s been competing in marathons around the U.S. and
now is training for his first Ironman competition. Bauer shares how
a plant-strong diet helps him stay in top shape and how running also
helps him stay connected with nature. He also explains why eating
animals is not necessary and how animal agriculture is inherently
cruel.

Gene Baur is actively showing people with his lifestyle choices that
compassion, loving kindness and healthful eating go hand in hand.
Eating God’s animals in not necessary for the vast majority of
humans, and Christians being the “salt and the light” of the world
should exemplify the faith of Christ (compassion, mercy and love)
even in regards to their food choices.
