Christian Vegetarian Association Presents:
Take Heart!
We Are Not Being Good Stewards of God's Creation

Raising animals for food takes an enormous toll on the planet because of the great amount of natural resources needed. For example, as far as water goes, “to produce one pound of beef is 1,799 gallons of water; one pound of pork takes 576 gallons of water. As a comparison, the water footprint of soybeans is 216 gallons; corn is 108 gallons.”

Please visit Meat's large water footprint: why raising livestock and poultry for meat is so resource-intensive.

We are wasting precious resources in order to keep a supply of animal products, which most are not needed at all. This waste of resources already puts much stress on the planet that translate into hardships for people and God’s animals, especially on the generations to come. We cannot claim to be good stewards of God’s Creation when we torture and kill billions of animals every year while devastating the planet.
