Animals as Food
Comments by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 20 May 2009

Dear Lisa:

Thank you for writing back.

From reading what you wrote, it sounds like you are arguing both sides of the issue. One, that you like to eat flesh because you enjoy it, and the other that you want to stop the suffering and couldn't kill an animal to eat it because you love it too much.

True compassion much start on our own plates, and then we become a credible witness against the cruelty.

As we said before, the flesh industry is driven by money and not compassion, and there is no such thing as the humane raising and slaughtering of animals on a commercial scale. It's really only wishful thinking by those who don't want to stop eating flesh and bodily secretions, but who also don't like all the cruelty.

Think about what you are saying.

We look forward to hearing from you again.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
