Re: Rod of Iron 28 November 2006

Dear Joyful,

I found your comments very interesting and your conclusion that the rod of iron is the "Word of God" very sound.

There is another book that explains the Rod of Iron and what it is. This book begins with writings from a young man named Nephi whose family came out of Jerusalem at the time of Zedekiah, King of Judah. His father, Lehi, who was prophesying to the idolatrous Jews, left Jerusalem at God's command after his life had been threatened. During his travels, he had a dream or vision which included a rod of iron. His son, Nephi, wanting to know the interpretation of the dream went to God in prayer and received an answer. This wonderful narrative can be found in The Book of Mormon. Read 1 Nephi chapter 8 in its entirety. Then read chapter 11 which includes the answer Nephi received from God. Please note verse 25!

You might want to include this marvelous book in your search for truth!

Your sister,
Diana
