Christian Bowhunters of America
Is it really Christian?
Comment by Ray Barta - 28 Jun 2007

Poor misguided Rachael Maldonado said:

"Quite honestly if you have ever raised any animals like I have you would see that they do not deserve mistreatment but, don't deserve royalty. I also believe that it says that animals do not have souls, personalities yes, but no souls."

Carrots don't have souls, they are not conscious, don't scream when cut, don't play when young, don't get depressed when sad. You cannot mistreat or be cruel to a carrot, because it is not conscious.....it was created to be our food.

Animals are conscious, and consciousness IS the soul. The Soul is that part of God's consciousness that inhabits animated beings. The Soul is the "driver" of the biological machine we call bodies. All animals have souls, not just the human ones.

A question for Rachael would be: If animals don't have souls, then why does it matter if they get mistreated? It does not matter if we mistreat a carrot?

Love and Compassion for All Beings............Ray
