Dear David:
We’re sorry for the delay in adding to Anne’s comments, but please tell your
daughter that she was the Godly one in this situation.
In Proverbs 12:10 we are told:
10 A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal,
but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.
NIV
Your daughter was the righteous Godly person; so don’t let the wicked people
discourage you from what God wants us to do, but just keep it hidden from
the evil ones around us.
In several other Bible passages, we are taught to put the needs of animals
ahead of our own, which your daughter did.
May you both have a blessed and cruelty-free Thanksgiving.
