Dear Betty:

This is exactly the reason that Jesus told the people that in the future there will be many who will cry Lord, Lord, but He will tell them that He never knew them.

Also, we believe that Paul's comments are being taken out of the context of who he is writing to, and the internal church struggle that was going on between the Jewish Christians and the Gentile Christians over various aspects of the Law, particularly the ones pertaining to flesh eating.
