Defining Christianity
Comments by Kandy - 4 Nov 2009

I do agree that it is important to see who the Biblical audience was. But, at the same time, it is important to realize that the Bible is living and active today, too. Times change. God does not. So while the setting may be different, the lessons are just as important today. A good inductive Bible study is a good tool in understanding Bible interpretation and bridging the Biblical audience to today.

When choosing a church, the first thing that I look for is a Bible-believing church. I may not agree with the church on everything. But I find that agreement on major issues is important. The rest we can agree to disagree on, so to speak. I, personally, would not want to go to an "anything goes" church. The Bible is specific that leaders and teachers are to be held to a higher standard, because they are serving as Christian examples.

God bless.
