Do Animals Go To Heaven?

Dear Joanne:

We're sorry to hear about your loss, but want you to be assured that your beloved companion is now in the arms of God.

The Bible really isn't silent, except in the translations. In Chapter 4 of Revelation, the Greek says that there are myriads upon myriads of animals in heaven. In Genesis 1 and 2, we are told in the Hebrew that both humans and other animals were created as living souls, meaning that we all have souls and spirits. So, if we go to heaven, then so do animals.

We still have some hollow feelings inside of us, too, over the death of our companion animals, even of those who died many years ago, but most of what we feel is the joy of the fond memories of having know them, and only time will change the pain into joyful memories. This is all part of truly loving another being. Don't fight your feeling; just allow them to take their course.

We hope this helps.

We always here if we wish to write again.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
