Dear Joe:
We're sorry we forgot to give you the link to our commentary on the Acts passage you mentioned: https://www.all-creatures.org/discuss/svtacts10.1-11.18-flh.html
While you are looking at the Bible commentaries, also look at: https://www.all-creatures.org/discuss/svtgen8.20-22-flh.html https://www.all-creatures.org/discuss/gen9.1-4-flh.html
We hope these explain our position.
We also never thought of going hunting in a supermarket, but I suppose that is a way you may look at it. We only by unprocessed plant foods.
For many years we have been ministering to people all around the world, most of whom have been emotionally hurt by their pastors and congregations through the hardness of heart they perceived, and in some cases open hostility. We are not supposed to chase compassionate people out of the churches just because they care about animals and/or live a vegan lifestyle.
The attitudes and comments you express are exactly the kinds of things that these people relate to us as being the reason for them leaving. Is this really the message you want to be sending?
Anatomically, humans are really designed to be fruitivores and not omnivores.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
